Set of 4 guide rods for wicks, available in two types of thickness (2.4 or 3 mm) and with a length of 25 cm each, used in all types of shapes, especially those without a base. It is a metal bar, used to make the hole where the wick will be inserted, helping it to be centered and completely straight. These sticks are also very useful for placing the wick on aromatic candles or on candles made in other types of containers. Below we show the step by step how to use the guide rod in making candles. HOW TO USE?
1. As soon as the paraffin solidifies, but is not completely cold, unmold the candle.
2. Insert the guide rod in the center of the base and remove it. Cut the wick to the desired length and insert it into the hole left in the candle after removing the rod.
3. If the mold has no base, the guide rod is placed in the center and fixed at the top with a wick holder. Put a little wax on the base to seal and wait a few seconds until it solidifies. To remove the guide rod, you can use the help of pliers. The wick, cut to the right length, is inserted into the hole made by the guide rod.
4. For candles made in other containers, the way to use the guide rod is very similar to that indicated in point 1. Fill the container and let the wax start to cool. When the top layer solidifies, but the inside is still hot, insert the guide rod in the center. Remove the rod and insert the wick into the hole left by it.
