Palm Stearin is 100% plant-based. It gives hardness, modifies the texture, increases the melting point and is used as a substitute for stearin or stearic acid. It is a fatty acid and also serves to adjust the pH of soaps and soaps when they are very alkaline. Palm Stearin accelerates the saponification process, requiring only a small amount to give it hardness. Palm Stearin also has emollient and protective properties and is easily absorbed by the skin.
