Caffeine is a crystalline, white, alkaloid, bitter taste and stimulating effect. It was discovered in 1819 by the German chemist Friedrich Ferdinand Runge. It was he who attributed the term "kaffein" to the well-known chemical compound of coffee. In cosmetic formulations, pure caffeine is very effective in combating cellulite, detoxification, purification because it significantly decreases fat cells and "orange peel". Associated with eye contour creams, it smoothes puffiness and dark circles. It is also used in the treatment of rosacea visibly improving the appearance of the skin.
Pure caffeine is soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol. It can be added to creams, serum, gel and soaps.
Recommended dose:
Eye contour cream: 0.5% to 2%
Rosacea Treatment: 1% to 5%
Body creams and lotions: up to 10%
Soap bars: up to 10%
